Our breakfast rhubard compote

2nd July 2018

Add the freshly cut rhubard and sugar to a saucepan and place on a medium heat. Gently heat for about 20 minutes until rhubard is softerand then add the ginger juice to taste and stir. 

We serve ours warm, delicious.

Ingredients

6 chunky stalks of rhubard. Peel and cut into 1 inch sticks

1 cup of granulated white sugar

1/2 inch of fresh ginger grated and squeeze the juice from this as we only use the juice.
